A different kind of care

Mothering the mother.

There are baby showers, checklists and a hundred things to prepare. But this season belongs to you, too. Imagine a calm afternoon getting your home ready, a little ceremony that honors your journey, a partner who feels prepared, and a familiar voice to call when questions arise. Then imagine that care continuing after baby comes home.

Beautiful, grounded, personal. And always centered on you.

The heart of it all

The Mother's Table

On your Nest & Blessing day, we set the to-do list aside. Over a lovely simple lunch or tea, we honor the woman you are and the mother you're becoming. You might choose a prayer, a gentle reflection, affirmations or words from people you love. Your beliefs and comfort guide the experience.

This is not a baby shower or a clinical appointment. It's a pause in the middle of a very full season — an opportunity to feel seen, supported and celebrated. Practical nesting means organizing everyday essentials and planning for support, not deep cleaning or heavy household labor.

Meet your guide

Hello, I'm Sunflower.

Before my work as The Social Medium, I spent ten years supporting mothers and families as a labor doula, postpartum professional, childbirth educator and doula trainer. After many years away from birth work, I'm returning in a more personal way: selectively, intentionally, and with a special focus on caring for the mother. I bring experience, warmth, practical teaching and the belief that life's biggest transitions deserve to be honored.

My maternity support is nonmedical and collaborative with your chosen medical team. Historical training is described as professional background, not a claim of current organizational certification.

A few good questions

Before we begin

Can my partner or family gift this to me?

Absolutely. A Nest & Blessing day or a contribution toward the Sanctuary can be a thoughtful gift. We confirm the mother's preferences and consent before planning her experience.

Do you attend births?

For a limited number of families, yes. Labor support is a separate, carefully planned service with an agreed on-call period and backup arrangements. Birth outcomes and exact timing cannot be guaranteed.

What happens after my baby arrives?

Scheduled daytime visits can include emotional encouragement, newborn-care support, light baby-related household tasks and time for you to rest. Medical, mental-health and complex feeding concerns are referred to licensed professionals.

Can I call you?

We'll agree on daytime phone and message check-ins for your package. Families with birth attendance receive separate labor contact instructions for their on-call period. Medical emergencies always go to your care team or emergency services.

A beautiful beginning

Let's make room for you, too.

Tell me your approximate due date, where you're located and what kind of support would feel wonderful. We'll start with a personal conversation.
